Platelet Rich Plasma for Treatment In The Shoulder and Elbow: A Review of Current Literature

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is used for a variety of orthopedic conditions with varying degrees of efficacy. PRP has been shown to be most effective in the management of adhesive capsulitis and lateral epicondylitis. However, preparation methods, dosing and frequency of PRP injections vary widely among published studies. Further research is needed to better clarify which preparations and orthopedic conditions are best for PRP treatment.
