We’re excited to launch our new Bone Health Clinic. This new initiative offers an added layer of preventive and specialized care for our current patients—and welcomes new patients who want to take proactive steps to protect their bone health. Appointments are available in person or conveniently via telehealth.

Why Bone Health Matters

Did you know?

  • The average person reaches peak bone mass around age 30. After that, bone mass is lost faster than it's created.
  • 1 in 2 women and 1 in 4 men over 50 will break a bone due to osteoporosis.
  • Osteoporosis is often called a “silent disease” because there are usually no signs or symptoms early on.

You may benefit from a bone health consultation if you:

  • Are female over age 65 or male over age 70
  • Are over age 50 with a history of fracture (especially with low trauma)
  • Smoke
  • Have a family history of osteoporosis (mother, father, or siblings)
  • Have a personal history of autoimmune disease, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, thyroid disease, or early menopause
  • Take long-term corticosteroids (like prednisone)
  • Have noticed loss of height over the years
