Thomas Neustein, M.D.
Dr. Neustein is a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. He received his medical degree from Emory University, and was accepted into the rigorous orthopedic surgery training program at Emory University. Throughout his orthopedic surgery residency at Emory, Dr. Neustein developed a particular interest in hand and upper extremity surgery, while gaining proficiency in treating traumatic injuries through the unparalleled experience at Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta’s Level One Trauma Center and one of the busiest trauma centers in the nation. Dr. Neustein has completed many research studies resulting in multiple peer-reviewed publications in major academic journals, including the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery Reviews, Hand, and Techniques in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery.
Throughout his time with Specialty Orthopaedics, Dr. Neustein as continued his academic pursuits by mentoring local high school and college students interested in pursuing careers in medicine.
Following his residency, Dr. Neustein completed a highly sought-after fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the renowned Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center. Under the guidance of Dr. A. Lee Osterman, Dr. Neustein became proficient in the treatment of all pathology and injuries affecting the hand, wrist, and elbow.
At Specialty Orthopaedics, Dr. Neustein enjoys serving the various communities in North Georgia, and helping people take back their lives and get back to the activities that they love.
In his personal time Dr. Neustein, enjoys spending time with his wife, Rebecca, and their three young children. Together they love sports (especially baseball), hiking, and travel.
